Q. What is your style?
A. I have so many inspirations that come from so many different places and try to implement them in my images. I love the raw emotion of photojournalism and the stylish look of artistic photography. In short, my style is something I like to call "artistic photojournalism".
Q. How did you get into photographing weddings?
A. I began photographing weddings ten years ago after one of my colleagues at a newspaper job asked me to photograph her wedding. Since then, I have been blessed to photograph over one hundred fifty weddings as well as working as a staff photographer at one of the leading newspapers in Virginia.
Q. Do you photograph traditional portraiture and family photos?
A. Yes! I do traditional portraiture at weddings. Even the most modern brides still want the heirlooms that family portraiture creates. We do not, however, conduct portrait sessions in a traditional way. Instead, they are very loose, fun, and show off your personality.
Q. Do you work with a second photographer during a wedding day?
A. Second photographer is available during a wedding day to clients upon request. I have been blessed to work with Rebekah Loftis, a talented photographer and a wonderful person, for last five years.
Q. Can I make prints out of the high-resolution CDs you provide?
A. Yes. I want to make obtaining copies of your wedding photographs easy for you. With high-resolution images, you can make unlimited prints at any photo lab for your own personal use. However, please note that these images are not intended for commercial use and you must consult Daniel Min Photography if you intend to use them for commercial purposes.
Q. OK. Then how do we hire you?
A. I would love to meet you in person to discuss details about your wedding day and get to know each other more during a consultation meeting. Then you can sign a contract and pay a retainer- 30% of the total payment- to officially reserve the date. I’m based in Richmond, but happy to travel to meet you and photograph your wedding in all of the Virginia, D.C., and worldwide.
